Greetings in the name of the Redeemer!
Everything about God is generous, plentiful, abundant. Alphonsus found in Psalm 130 a phrase to describe this understanding of God: "copiosa apud eum redemptio". Alphonsus experienced this abundant redemption in his own life and ministry. He bequeathed this spirit of abundant redemption to his Congregation. He gives us an insight into the mystery of redemption through the lens of love: God's love for us and our love for God. Everything about God's love is abundant, plentiful, extravagant, indeed, "crazy", ‘madness of love'...

RULE IX
MORTIFICATION.
JESUS, our loving Redeemer had no need of mortification to subdue the flesh and the passions, for all His senses were entirely subjected to His reason, while His reason obeyed absolutely the Divine Will. And yet He wished to suffer untold hardships of every description.

September 26: Blessed Caspar Stanggassinger, Priest
Caspar Stanggassinger , the second of 16 children, was born in Berchtesgarden, Germany on January 12, 1871. His father, a respected man, was a well-to-do farmer who owned a stone quarry. From his youth Caspar had a growing desire to become a priest. He used to engage his brothers and sisters with preachings and processions.
